The first dimensions listed are the actual size in inches of the wood (ie. .012" thick and .024" wide).? The other "approximate" notation would be the equivalent dimensions compared to "real life".? As a comparison, a strip of wood?1/32" wide would be .031" wide.? You can convert any fractions to decimal measurements by dividing the top # by the bottom # - in this case for 1/32", divide 1 by 32 and you have .031".?
